The
Regional Investment Strategy presents a vision and goals for the region
and summarizes the current issues and challenges that affect the viability
of the communities and the economy in the region.
The Regional Investment Strategy
guides the economic and community development efforts of the Benton,
Linn,
Lincoln, and Lane Regional Investment Board, and of both Lane and Cascades
West Councils of Governments. The Strategy is reviewed and revised at
least every two years.
The BL3 Regional Investment
Board has revised the Regional Investment Strategy for the current biennium.
The revised Strategy is available for public review.
The Strategy is currently before
the Economic and Community Development Department, where it will be reviewed
by the Economic Development Commission and forwarded to the Governor for
his final approval.
The BL3 RIB believes that its
new strategy will allow the region to meet the state’s expectations, by
creating an anticipated 300 new jobs in the four-county area, and leveraging
at least $5 of matching funds for each $1 of RIB investment.
